The Light On That Old Stump

Every time I go to Tynehead Park I have to visit this old stump. I don't always take photos but I see something different each time. Of course new camera, new approaches this day and I came up with this.

I used the Tokina 17mm 1/60th sec f5 iso 400. I think this lens will spend a lot of time on the camera. I really like getting in close with it.

Under A New Light

I bought a new camera. It's a Sony a99 and I am quite excited about it. I won't go into the technical details because this site is more about the pictures I take rather than the gear I use (even though I am a bit of a nut about the equipment). If you want to learn more about it follow this link.
I also have taken up bicycling. For health reasons but I find I quite enjoy it. Maybe a little less in the rain but I still get out there most days. Here is a shot I took combining the two. Maybe not the brightest thing I've done.

Taken with the 24-85 at 35mm  1/160th sec f13 iso 800. It was right   about   here.

Oh and when I say nut about the equipment I don't think I am quite like these folk. I hope.

Previous Light

As we think about turning the clock back tonight and head toward winter here is a look back to see what we can look forward to next spring.

Taken with the 16-80 zoom at 80mm 1/500th sec at f5.6 iso 400. Spotted these flowers whilst on a photowalk with Dar at UBC
